PROTECT: No difference in stent thrombosis with Endeavor and Cypher stents

At three years, the rate of definite or probable stent thrombosis among the Endeavor- and Cypher-treated treated patients was 1.4% and 1.8%, respectively, a difference that was not statistically significant. Both devices, however, are largely unused today, thus limiting the clinical significance of the findings.
